Joshua Joseph, Director

Joshua Joseph, better know as JJ, has been involved with Camp Wingmann since 2006. He began as a
camp counselor and has worked his way up to Executive Director in 2018.  JJ graduated from South Florida
College and completed his ministry training at Youth Ministry Institute. JJ has been involved in camp and youth ministry for over 15 years and brings a wealth of knowledge. JJ is marred to his beautiful wife
Angela and has two sons, Isaiah & Elijah. His heart is to keep the traditions & core of Camp Wingmann
alive while remaining relevant to the students in our ever-evolving culture.

Christin Hayward, Administrative director

Christin Hayward is the definition of Camp Wingmann Alumni. She began her journey here as an
elementary school camper and went through the process as a counselor in training (CIT), Junior
Counselor (JC), cabin Counselor, and Assistant Director (AD) alongside JJ. Many years later, she received
the call and moved back home from Maryland to work alongside JJ once again to continue the mission of
Camp Wingmann and share the beauty of this place she loves with youth in the area. Christin graduated
from the University of Florida.

Angela Joseph, Bookkeeper

Angela Joseph has been involved with Camp Wingmann since 2007. She began as a camp counselor and
joined the team alongside her husband in 2017 as the Bookkeeper. Angela graduated from South Florida
College. Angela and JJ have two sons, Isaiah & Elijah. She is in love with Camp Wingmann and is excited
to share it with young mothers and families throughout the area.

Rev. Bill Yates, Vicar

Fr. Bill was a camper back in the 1960’s. He went on to become a music instructor and later a priest in
the Episcopal Church where his leadership and skill propelled him to become Cannon to the Ordinary,
second only to the bishop. The camp was sold in the 70’s and when Bill and others heard that it was on
the market, there hearts knew that they had to buy it back and restore it to the place where not only
they but so many others were impacted by the love of Jesus. He leveraged his own property and
brothers’ business, took a huge gamble, and purchased the camp. He served as the Director of the camp
for more than 20 years and has breathed new life into this space. Thousands of youths, many who are
now adults, have been touched by the work done here at Camp Wingmann through the work of Fr. Bill!
He now serves as the Vicar of camp, providing spiritual insight to our year-round staff.

Continued Education

Alongside the director, Camp Wingmann staff participate in annual American Camp Association Conferences that are dedicated to the quality and improvement of summer camps for campers, staff, and families. Each conference spans several days, and the continued education learned in this time is invaluable.

Our one-of-a-kind camper experience relies entirely on the most amazing staff team ever! So we invest in our staff. Every staff member receives extensive training, mentoring, and a healthy dose of empowerment – the tools and support they need to be leaders at our Christian summer camps.
