Making Complaints — Mandatory Reporting

If you believe you are a victim of harassment or have witnessed harassment, you must immediately report it to admin@campwingmann.org or jjoseph@campwingmann.org. Complaints of harassment do not need to be in writing, but in order for Camp Wingmann to properly investigate, they may not be anonymous. Camp Wingmann strictly prohibits any form of retaliation against anyone making a good faith report of harassment or assisting in an investigation.

Investigation of Complaints

Camp Wingmann will promptly and thoroughly investigate all alleged violations of this policy, assuming the allegation is made in good faith and in sufficient detail for us to conduct a confidential investigation. Investigations will typically involve interviews with the complainant, the alleged harasser, and any relevant witnesses. Efforts will be made to maintain the confidentiality of those involved, but information may be disclosed as necessary to conduct a thorough investigation.

During the investigation, the alleged harasser and alleged victim will not have one-on-one unsupervised contact at Camp Wingmann. The results of the investigation will be communicated to both the complainant and the alleged harasser.

Penalties for Violations

Camp Wingmann will take prompt disciplinary and remedial action in response to policy violations, including breaches of confidentiality, retaliatory actions, or bad faith allegations. Disciplinary action may include termination of employment or removal from the camp environment.
